201 2 Olympics

Olympian Michael Phelps won the gold in the men's 200-meter individual medley in 1:54:27. He is the first male swimmer to win three gold medals consecutively in the same event. WOOHOO. The Babbling Bee & Rich Cartels congratulate Michael Phelps.

.
Carmelo Anthony hits a 3-pointer against Nigeria during the men's basketball game at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Nigeria did really bad. The jokes on twitter are so mean!!! I refuse to write about then. Melo has broken the U.S. record for points in an Olympic game, scoring 37 through the    middle of the third quarter against Nigeria. I know this is proud night for the Melo fans!!. GO USA!!! He broke the record of 31 points set by Stephon Marbury in the 2004 Olympics. Way to Go Carmelo that is definitely a proud moment. His fans are going crazy on my time lol.

That's it for now guys I will keep you updated with more 2012 Olympic news !!

College Students!!!!

It is a month and a few days before schools starts. All college students make sure you have filled out your FASFA.(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ Filling out the FASFA form determines how much federal aid such as, unsubsidized and subsidizes and or  pell grants you will receive for the upcoming school semesters based on your and or parents tax returns. (W-2) By now all of those forms should have been completed. Between now and the next few weeks for students living up north, payment for school is due. Hopefully financial aid can cover all costs; if not there are other options you can explore. For students who can pay monthly you set up a payment plan through tuition management system. @ afford.com <--- They are very helpful I have used that service my first three years of college. Or of course there is Sallie  Mae loans services or other private loans you can contact.  If you can not pay for school and do not know what to do, meet with your financial aid counselors. That is what they are their for, you pay them to help and guide you through your college career. Remember to stay on top of your financial aid obligations and forms. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. I am also a college student and I know how hard it can be. Be smart and handle your priorities before it is too late.

Beyonce & Jay Z

Our favorite Bonnie and Clyde Couple has done it again. Who else Beyonce and JayZ. The two people in the industry who are richer than rich!!! For the month of August they will be vacationing in the Hampton's. That is not out of the norm for celebrities. But get this the vacation house is 400 K a month. Can you believe that ? I don't think half of us have even spent near 400 K. So for them to spend that on just the house alone. YES my Eyes are green with envy. The house is 31,000 square foot with bolling alleys and a recording studio. 400K I just have to say it again who in the world would spend that amount on just a house? Well when you can afford every and anything you want you can do anything you want. Little baby Blue at only six months is vacationing where many of us will never get to see. Well enough of my jealousy lol.

Thoughts and Prayers for Kile -Tameka Raymond's son

Death of any one is always a sad time. Especially of such a young child. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to Tameka Raymond and her family mourning the lost of her son Kile; who earlier this month was hit in the head while jet skiing. A fun activity turned tragic. Kile was put on life support and everyone was in hope that he will pull through. But God willing it was his time to depart. It is very sad reading and hearing about what has happened. Here at the Babbling Bee & Rich Cartels we just want everyone to be aware of all safety precautions in anything that you are participating; although it may be very normal to you. Death is a sad thing that is very hard to deal with. May Kile's memory live on as Ms.Raymond buried her son early to day. We are not sure if Usher attended, I a more sure he did to pay his respect. To everyone out there make sure daily you let your love ones know how much you love them. Take every safety precaution even the little ones that you may feel that does not make sense.

Shop lifters

Okay so the economy is bad, so that means everybody is suppose to start stealing? Shop lifters piss me off. Us normal people work everyday hours in order to buy the things we need and want, so what makes you think your exempt from it? When I was a kid my and we did anything we were not suppose to do my mom would scold and punish us too the max that we never did anything we were not suppose to do. She always make it very clear you steal, "I'm letting you stay in jail." That scared my brothers and I so much that we did not even want to go in a store without her. Now-a-days kids are stealing everything from gum to gel to money to clothes and everything they can get their hand on. The list goes on. As a parent nip the stealing in the bid, talk too your kids let them know the danger of stealing and the affect it will have on you throughout your life. Things like that follow you for a very long time. My theory is if you stop them young you'll them from a life time of cops and jail.

How to spot a shop lifter taken from About
  • Spends more time watching the cashier or sales clerk than actually shopping.
  • Wears bulky, heavy clothing during warm weather or coats when unnecessary.
  • Walks with short or unnatural steps, which may indicate that they are concealing lifted items.
  • Takes several items into dressing room and only leaves with one item.
  • Seems nervous and possibly picks up random items with no interest.
  • Frequently enters store and never makes a purchase.
  • Enters dressing room or rest rooms with merchandise and exits with none.
  • Large group entering the store at one time, especially juveniles. A member of the group causes a disturbance to distract sales staff.
