2013 Graduates

Graduation time is one of the best moments of someone's life. May 2013 & June 2013 many of you graduated from Middle School, High School, College, Grad School and many different technical schools. As a 2013 graduate myself I congratulate all of you. It has been a long haul through college and after four years I am done. Graduation time for college students is when you break out into the real world if you are not already out there. For High Schools students many of you are on your way to college and or trade school. You may feel as though you are an adult and finally on your own. But, pay attention to your freshman year and work hard. Work hard now so you can relax later. Make yourself proud by accomplishing the reason you are in college.

Summer is coming to an end.

Good luck to all the college students out there. For all of those who are down south you probably already started school. For those of us up north school will be starting on or about the 4th. So hit the books and study ! Check out Chegg.com and amazon.com for low priced books! Do a google search to find out where you can purchase or rent books for a fraction of the retail cost. Email professors before school starts too make sure that you definitely need the book for that class. If your school has a Facebook page check it out other students may post books that you might need.

College Students!!!!

It is a month and a few days before schools starts. All college students make sure you have filled out your FASFA.(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ Filling out the FASFA form determines how much federal aid such as, unsubsidized and subsidizes and or  pell grants you will receive for the upcoming school semesters based on your and or parents tax returns. (W-2) By now all of those forms should have been completed. Between now and the next few weeks for students living up north, payment for school is due. Hopefully financial aid can cover all costs; if not there are other options you can explore. For students who can pay monthly you set up a payment plan through tuition management system. @ afford.com <--- They are very helpful I have used that service my first three years of college. Or of course there is Sallie  Mae loans services or other private loans you can contact.  If you can not pay for school and do not know what to do, meet with your financial aid counselors. That is what they are their for, you pay them to help and guide you through your college career. Remember to stay on top of your financial aid obligations and forms. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. I am also a college student and I know how hard it can be. Be smart and handle your priorities before it is too late.
