Aaliyah's Family NOT Supporting Any New Aaliyah album

The media has done it again; toying with Aaliyah's memory and legacy...

The following post is from NecoleBitchie.com. Please read on and tell us your thoughts...

Over the past few weeks there has been talks of an Aaliyah posthumous album (executive produced by Drake and his producing partner Noah ’40′ Shebib) as well as talks of a biopic which has been going on for years. Then there has been the discussions on whether Missy Elliott and Timbaland, who produced the bulk of Aaliyah’s ‘One In A Million’ album, should be involved in the project.
Truthfully, we could probably all agree that an Aaliyah album at this point would be sketchy, no matter who produces it. All of the material she recorded is over a decade old and are probably leftover scraps that didn’t make her album or unfinished songs. Case in point: Her verses on the newly released track, ‘Enough said‘ with Drake sound as though they were unfinished.
At any rate, her brother Rashad, hopped on her facebook page yesterday and claimed there is no Aaliyah album in the works that is endorsed by her family.
“there is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family.” -Rashad Haughton (regarding upcoming album release rumors)
That’s confusing since her label’s logo (ran by her uncle Barry Hankerson) was included on the official artwork that was released. That track was definitely endorsed by the label. This could have all been Rashad’s way of saying that the project (which may be in production) is not supported by her immediate family.
Over on Miss Info, a solid source told her that the posthumous project is in the works and Timbaland is producing at least two songs.
On her facebook, Aaliyah’s brother also shut down rumors of a biopic in production by first posing the question, ‘Biopic Yes or No?’ and then posting,
“No female I’ve seen can play my sister.” -Rashad
As an Aaliyah fan, I'd still love to see a movie about her however, a full blown album, ehhhhh not so much... Now that I think about it, a movie might be kinda far-fetched too. That's like somebody doing a movie about Beyonce. And y'all know I lovessssssss me some KING BEY!

Aaliyah & Drake - Enough Said

I have and will always be an Aaliyah fan. When news of her passing hit the media in 2001 I was heartbroken. One of the greatest singers of all time had been taken away from us and she was only 22 years old.

Now, we all know about Drakes's love (I say obsession) with the fallen songstress so it was no surprise when he did a track featuring her vocals. Now in my opinion, "Enough Said" sounds like an unfinished Aaliyah project but her vocals are still as smooth as ever. The song could've done without Drake's rap but whatever, let's hear your take on it.

Oh yeah, and I still think this song should've been released/produced via her music family, Missy Elliot, Timbaland, and Ginuwine.

Mo' Money Mo' Problems: Plaxico Burress Owes Over $59K in Taxes

I swear I must pose this question atleast twice a week: What's up with celebrities not paying their taxes? Lauryn Hill, Young Buck, Wesley Snipes and now NFL player Plaxico Burress can add his name to the list of celebrities that don't know how to pay up.

The unemployed wide receiver just had a tax lien filed against him in the state of New York for the amount of over $59,000. According to legal documentation, Plaxico didn’t pay all his personal income tax for the year 2007 and now the Empire State is looking to collect on the $59,241 he supposedly owes.

Plaxico Burress is currently unemployed which is definitely not going to help him. Before all the money woes, Burress was the top wide receiver for the New York Giants and he had inked a six year, $25 million contract but he can kiss all that bye bye because his stint in jail on a weapons charge put that money train on park.

He better come up with something fast before the Feds pull a Young Buck on his ass and start auctioning his stuff.

2012 Olympics

Congratulations to Gabby Douglas, the first African American girl to compete and win on the uneven bars in the women's individual all-around final Thursday at the 2012 London Olympic Games. As an African American women, I am proud of her. Gabrielle Douglas poses with her gold medal after winning the women's individual all-around.She has taken home a win for the United States and she is only 16. Such a way to go. As a nation we all are beyond proud, I know her family members are filled with joy as Douglas made history. It must be an amazing feeling knowing that you are the first too make a record in that category. She is an excellent gymnast with a great work ethic. She has also received the recognition from President Barack Obama, Oprah and many others. I like too see people like her age to things with there life. It is such an accomplishment. You do not have to be a Olympic gold medal, but doing something possible with your life and excelling in it is beyond what words can explain.

Carmelo Anthony hits a 3-pointer against Nigeria during the men's basketball game at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Nigeria did really bad. The jokes on twitter are so mean!!! I refuse to write about then. Melo has broken the U.S. record for points in an Olympic game, scoring 37 through the    middle of the third quarter against Nigeria. I know this is proud night for the Melo fans!!. GO USA!!! He broke the record of 31 points set by Stephon Marbury in the 2004 Olympics. Way to Go Carmelo that is definitely a proud moment. His fans are going crazy on my time lol.

That's it for now guys I will keep you updated with more 2012 Olympic news !!

College Students!!!!

It is a month and a few days before schools starts. All college students make sure you have filled out your FASFA.(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ Filling out the FASFA form determines how much federal aid such as, unsubsidized and subsidizes and or  pell grants you will receive for the upcoming school semesters based on your and or parents tax returns. (W-2) By now all of those forms should have been completed. Between now and the next few weeks for students living up north, payment for school is due. Hopefully financial aid can cover all costs; if not there are other options you can explore. For students who can pay monthly you set up a payment plan through tuition management system. @ afford.com <--- They are very helpful I have used that service my first three years of college. Or of course there is Sallie  Mae loans services or other private loans you can contact.  If you can not pay for school and do not know what to do, meet with your financial aid counselors. That is what they are their for, you pay them to help and guide you through your college career. Remember to stay on top of your financial aid obligations and forms. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. I am also a college student and I know how hard it can be. Be smart and handle your priorities before it is too late.
